DLD is a light and compact tool, which is able to make complete diagnostics of the luminous path from dental lamps.
Due to a very sophisticated acquisition technology, and to the interface which has a powerful software programme entirely dedicated to it, DLD can make a whole series of diagnostic evaluations of the luminous path of the lamp, from just one measurement. In particular:
- Evaluation of the luminance in 4 points of the luminous path;
- Evaluation of the luminance above and below the luminous path's outline;
- Evaluation of the uniformity of the luminous distribution of the path;
- Evaluation of the sharpness of the luminous path's outline;
- Automatic comparison of the values obtained from the measurement, with those required by current regulations;
- Archiving the values obtained on ready to print report-files.
The speed, precision and totality of the measurements which can be obtained, make DLD an extremely versatile tool. It is therefore suitable both for quality controls alongside the production lines, and for sophisticated measurements in photometric laboratories.
The case is completely lightproof, allowing the DLD to be used in any environment, with any light condition.
The software
DLD's ability to carry out all the above-mentioned operations in an single measurement depends on the completely computerised control of the acquisition probes. Using a powerful software interface programme, it processes all the information it receives from the probes and displays them in real time on a sophisticated graphics interface.
Both for the light measurement mode and for the uniformity of light measurement mode, the probes are reproduced on video and the value for each is shown (Lux or % according to the mode chosen). A signal shows if they are more or less close to the regulation values, or to those required and set by the user.
