Goniophotometers

The goniophotometer is an instrument which measures the spatial distribution of the luminous intensity in different directions.

Our goniophotometers carry out measurements for all types of lighting fixtures (including LED fixtures) in the C, Gamma coordinates system whereas. For all types of projector and reflector headlights used in the automotive sector, measurement are carried out in the VH coordinate system.

The goniophotometers of the Photoglobe 4FA series used in general lighting are classified as type 4 according to the classification given by the  EN 13032-1 standard and as type C according to the classification given by the  IES LM-79-08 standard.

Though requiring a small space for the photometric laboratory, the goniophotometers of the Photoglobe 4FA series are far-field measuring instruments because Sedis Light’s patented sensors are designed to virtually distance the lighting fixture/light source, as required by current regulations.

The goniophotometers used in the automotive sector are designed and manufactured for the measurement of  projector headlights, reflector headlights or both.
